Lately, I’ve been all about classic pieces that’ll last me a lifetime and some things I consider classic are a stripe top and button ups. I picked up a striped button-up combo by Current Elliot (from Piperlime) a few days ago and as you can see, I’m really making good use of it. I also envision it pairing perfectly with other prints (i.e. florals, vertical stripes, plaid) – you really can’t go wrong. And horizontal stripes aren’t something you see often in a button up so that’s what drew my attention to begin with, it’s even better that the stripes look a little faded and worn. I admit it is a little pricey, but the lightweight fabric, fit, and construction are all worth it. I have a hard time with button ups because of my small frame especially if I’m looking for a boyfriend-esque fit and this top really met all my expectations. It also looks good worn in all kinds of ways: Untucked, half tucked, fully tucked, tied, or just hanging loose, making another worthy validation for the purchase.
