L'ANZA Beach Spray
L'ANZA Beach Spray

Although I’m a natural product junkie, I’m usually extra careful with hair products because they have the tendency to not perform to expectation (*I hate my hair*). My hair is super straight and heavy, does not hold volume nor curls very well – basically the complete opposite of the ideal hair I’d die to have. So I’m always on the lookout for new technology and anything that will lift and add texture/grit to my mane.

I recently parlayed on the L’ANZA Beach Spray and I’m surprised to say I am completely blown away by it. In the last twenty-something years of my life, I’ve only ever committed to one hair product (the Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift Spray, which I’ve praised countless times already) so the fact that I will now be committing to this Beach Spray speaks volume. The two in conjunction really provide the hair texture I’m constantly lusting after – piecey, natural separation, and takes away the natural slip in my Asian hair.

I usually spritz the SH Lift Spray into my roots and work it into the shaft since it’s a double duty, heat protectant + volumizing spray, and then I blow dry upside down until damp. Then, I work the L’ANZA Beach Spray all over and into the roots and continue blow drying upside down until completely dry. Just before it’s completely dry, I blast cool air all over quickly and the after effect is usually something fluffy, weightless, thick, and texturey – just plain incredible. It works especially well if you intend on curling your hair too. Other bonuses are that it’s scentless, does not leave that “crunchy” after feel, and is long-lasting. I just can’t believe it hasn’t made its round in the blogosphere. Anyway, you need it now.

Oh and my new do (self-cut) – boredom can be dangerous I tell ya.
