The Real Deal on Multimasking (& Glamglow Masks)

GLAMGLOW Multimasking
Treatment Set
.

I’ve masked for years now, but never have I tried multimasking or Glamglow…

Multimasking is nothing new, but I kinda prefer my sheet masks because they’re just less fussy to use… However, as I mentioned on Instagram, I broke out in a disaster about two weeks ago, and whenever that happens, I hunch into defense mode and scavenge for the big guns. That basically describes how I encountered the Glamglow Multimasking Treatment Set.

Prior to this, I had zero experience with Glamglow so I seized the opportunity to cop a bunch of minis because when each full-size version averages >$50, $42 for a bundle of minis seem like a wonderful idea.

Here are my thoughts on each:
Supermud Clearing Treatment

Unlike the other minis, you get 1 oz of the Clearing Mask. I feel like it works in some ways, and it doesn’t in others… I didn’t find it particularly beneficial for my acne…not even preventing it. However, after applying, my skin felt less congested, pores less clogged, and I even noticed a brighter complexion. It’s not enough to sway me to purchase the full-size at this point.

Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

This was my least favorite of the six… It dried the shit out of my skin and was extremely painful. I literally took a day and half to recover. It’s super intense and probably best for oily, acne-prone skin. After using this, I instantly slathered on yogurt because it was just way too harsh for me.

Gravitymud Firming Treatment

Now, this was the funnest to use… It’s silver! I love the way it smells, and it makes my face feel amazing afterwards. Upon applying the treatment, you can feel a little tingling and tightening, but it isn’t uncomfortable or painful. This is also one that you peel off vs rinse off… I do notice the tighter aftereffects upon peeling, and not in a bad way either.

Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

I loved the texture of this mask – it is so cooling and calming on my super irritated skin and just makes it so soft, refreshed, hydrated, and prepped for whatever comes… I don’t think I would have been able to keep my dry patches at bay these last two weeks without this stuff.

Flashmud Brightening Treatment

This product felt like an exfoliating scrub and mask combined. It was one of my favorites from this set because I felt like it truly delivered the brightening and exfoliating benefits. Plus, I absolutely loved the citrusy scent – just divine! I can’t say for sure if it lightens up scars or dark spots at this point, but hey, I’m not ruling it out.

Powermud DualCleanse Treatment

I don’t think I really needed this “dual cleanse” mask because I’ve been pretty abrasive with myself… However, it was far more gentle than I expected and I definitely preferred this one to the Tinglexfoliate. I think of this product more of a luxurious exfoliator than anything else. It was pleasant to use, but not an essential in my routine.

Now on multimasking…

This Glamglow set gave me a great introduction to the brand and allowed me to test the full benefits of multimasking. I’m sure multimasking works wonders for others especially if you have multiple skin concerns or are even combo-skin type, BUT I can say for sure now that it’s something I can omit. I’d rather use one mask and reap the full benefits of that then spot treat with several… Just my opinion though…

Have you tried multimasking? What are your thoughts?
