I came home to these and I’m little more than excited to try two in the AM. Jouer Anti-Aging Moisture Primer – This is basically my foray into Jouer. I’ve been curious about the brand long enough and decided it was time for a new primer since I’ve been using Tarte’s Clean Slate Brightening Primer, but feel pretty meh about it now. I’m hoping this one will create a smoother canvas with a bit more slip…guess I’ll see tomorrow. Jouer “Ooh La La” Cosmetic Pouch – I’ve never really been a “take my makeup everywhere with me” kinda person, but… READ MORE

I’m not really sure whether or not there’s a right way to wash your face, but for the last three years or so, I’ve been using a method I call the double cleanse, which simply involves washing your face twice with two different facial cleansers. One of my biggest goals this year is to shoot a styled lookbook – I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest time, but I’d find myself making excuses i.e. I don’t have time, I can’t find models, I can’t go anywhere with my kids, which is all true but at the same time feels like it should be achievable in some way or manner especially when I come across bloggers that shoot their own outfit posts in public places. So anyway, I’ve been feeling really motivated to go at it even if it means having to use myself… READ MORE

I could never convince myself to buy a luxurious tube of lipstick because my occasional use doesn’t warrant the price tag. MAC is the perfect fit for many reasons – it isn’t supremely expensive, offers a wide range of colors (there’s basically one for everyone), and of course its lovely, simple black packaging. I have the tendency to gravitate towards nudes for that “MLBB” look and in the last year, have been really diggin’ the grungy-browns that epitomizes 90s makeup. MAC’s Hug Me really hit the spot – a nude color that leans brown, which I was looking for, and… READ MORE

Zara jeans, Topshop top, Mango belt, Dolce Vita heels It warmed quite a bit on Sunday so I was able to wear these strappy heels earlier than I originally thought. These overly frayed jeans from Zara seemed to fit my casual Sunday vibe along with this super soft, seemingly over-worn button down. It’s been a good day.
