I could never convince myself to buy a luxurious tube of lipstick because my occasional use doesn’t warrant the price tag. MAC is the perfect fit for many reasons – it isn’t supremely expensive, offers a wide range of colors (there’s basically one for everyone), and of course its lovely, simple black packaging. I have the tendency to gravitate towards nudes for that “MLBB” look and in the last year, have been really diggin’ the grungy-browns that epitomizes 90s makeup. MAC’s Hug Me really hit the spot – a nude color that leans brown, which I was looking for, and very moisturizing – doesn’t highlight any dryness on the lips. There’s a slight sheen, but I think that would look perfect over a lip pencil that’s a tad darker in the same color range (i.e. MAC Whirl). I know there are probably several other MAC lip colors that could fall into the “90s” classification, but Hug Me happened to be a random pick (as I ordered this product online) and I ended up being happy with it…if you have other suggestions, feel free to share :).
